Hey there, I totally get it…

Ultrasound is hard! Believe me, it was nothing like I thought it would be. I was a student once, and I surely thought I would never be able to be good enough to scan in real life- especially OB scans. It terrified me. Heck, I even failed my first scanning competency for an anatomy scan. I was afraid I would miss something important on someone’s child, and I couldn’t handle that enormous pressure. I shied away from scanning OB for the first 7 (SEVEN!) years of my career. It wasn’t until my own midwife who had just delivered my 3rd son said to me “I want to buy an ultrasound machine and I want you to work for me”. I immediately responded with “You know I don’t scan the babies”! Despite my fear, we decided to work together. At the same time, I was able to secure a temporary local contract at a busy MFM clinic and I was thrown into the world of high risk. Here I was able to scan all day and gain my confidence in OB scanning. 4 years later, I own my own company and I am confident in the quality of exams I can provide for any patient.

Our training is in a private suite that is comfortable and not rushed. We are able to provide lots of hands on and verbal instruction which is sometimes hard to get in your current clinical setting.
